My daughter has always been great about sleeping during the nighttime hours. However, she's also always gone to bed really late (around 11:00) and still wakes up many times a night to nurse.

We're trying to move her bedtime earlier and contemplating night weaning so that she will get better sleep at night. It typically takes her about an hour of doing gymnastics while nursing before she actually falls asleep.

I think this book would have a lot of good tips and tricks to getting better sleep for everyone. I've read her No-Cry Discipline Book and half of The No-Cry Sleep Solution for Toddlers and Preschoolers. I checked it out from the library and kept for two months. I have to own a book to read it all the way because my daughter doesn't let me read.

Balance Bike Giveaways!

Some things are just too much of a coincidence.  The other day I was reading a forum post on balance bikes. I didn't even know what one was so I read up on  them. That night when my husband came home, I informed him that our 18 month old NEEDED one of these thing.  I even showed him a you tube video of an 18 month old riding one.

Then I find not one but two giveaways for balance bikes. It must be fate!

Win a Safety First onBoard 35 Air infant car seat

I just have to preface this with some comments about Mama B. She has some of the best giveaways for moms like me that I have seen. She's crunchy, lives in Florida, and is a stay at home mom. Sound familiar? I promise she isn't me, but she's coming from a place where she knows what kind of things people like me want to win.

I'm interested in winning it because we are contemplating having another baby. It would be great to have this infant seat for a new baby. I really like that rear faces up to 35 lbs and 32 inches. My wee one is almost 18 months and around 25 lbs and 33 inches. Her other infant car seat only went up to 28 or 29 inches. She outgrew it quite some time ago.

What is Swag?

According to wikipedia:

A slang term for free promotional items, referring to a thief or pirate's treasure, often pronounced or spelled schwag. It is a popular backronym for Software and Giveaways, Stuff We All Get, or Souvenirs, Wearables, and Gifts.


I think that pretty much sums up the purpose of this blog. I love to enter giveaways. I have yet to win, but the day is coming! I can feel it. I don't enter every giveaway. Just the ones where the item being given away is something I would actually want or use. 


So many giveaways give extra entries if you blog about the giveaways. So I will be blogging away. I may also use this blog to give opinions on products. Or maybe not. We'll just make it up as we go.
